24 mag-aaral sa Marinduque, pumasa sa programang scholarship ng DOST

BOAC, Marinduque – Sa 8,994 na mga mag-aaral na pumasa sa Science and Technology Undergraduate Scholarship Program (RA 7687) ng Department of Science and Technology (DOST), 24 na estudyante rito ang nagmula sa Marinduque.

Ayon sa listahan mula kay Eleazar Manaog ng Provincial Science and Technology Center (PSTC)-Marinduque, may 10 estudyante ang nagmula sa Boac, 5 sa Mogpog, 1 ang galing sa Sta. Cruz, 2 mag-aaral mula sa Torrijos, 5 estudyante ang nagmula sa Buenavista at 1 ang nanggaling sa Gasan. Ang mga estudyanteng ito ay sina James Jerick Bartulo, Karlo Bundallan, Abegail Cruzado, John Kenneth Duenas, Irish Historillo, Ameca Fe Jinang, Cherry Ann Lagro, Glaiza Lauresta, Jonas Lope, Arra Malitao, Jayron Mampusti, Cyrel Masalapus, Maria Althea Maramba, Bernadette Joyce Matining, Merichar Ira Mayorga, Vohn Ryan Monsanto, Ceejay Natal, Karl Andrei Olivar, Jose Marie Reyes, Christel Leo Romano, Rachelle Ann Sadiwa, Kim Alexis Sales, Kristel Mae Sol at Anhiro Prince Rodriguez.

Ang halos siyam na libong mag-aaral, kasama ang 24 estudyante ng Marinduque ay maaaring magpalista sa mga pampublikong unibersidad at kolehiyo, tulad ng Marinduque State College, at iba pang mga institusyong pang-edukasyon na kinikilala ng Commission on Higher Education (CHED) bilang Sentro ng Kahusayan o Sentro ng Pag-unlad, kung saan maaari silang kumuha ng kursong may kinalaman sa agham at teknolohiya tulad ng Agriculture; Agricultural Biotechnology; Agricultural Chemistry; Agricultural Engineering; Applied Mathematics; Applied Physics; Biochemistry; Biology; Ceramics Engineering; Chemistry with Applied Computer System; Chemistry with Materials Science and Engineering; Chemistry Engineering; Chemistry; Civil Engineering; Computer Engineering; Computer Science; Electrical Engineering; Electronics and Communications Engineering; Environmental Science; Fisheries; Food Technology; Forestry; Geology; Geodetic Engineering; Industrial Engineering; Information Technology; Manufacturing Engineering; Materials Engineering; Mathematics; Mechanical Engineering; Metallurgical Engineering; Mining Engineering; Molecular Biology and Biotechnology; Physics; Physics with Applied Computer System; Physics with Material Science and Engineering; Science/Mathematics Teaching and Statistics.

Ang mga bago at dating iskolar ng S&T ay makatatanggap ng stipend na P7,000 kada- buwan. Makatatanggap din sila ng tulong para sa matrikula, libro, uniporme at isang economy-class roundtrip na pamasahe sa bawat taon para sa mga nag-aaral sa labas ng kanilang lalawigan at accident insurance.

Ang 2018 DOST-Science Education Institute Scholarship Examination na ginanap noong 2017 ang may pinakamataas na bilang ng mga examinees na may bilang na 46,434 na mag-aaral. Marinduquenews.com
