Typhoon Nina damaged about 85% of schools and classrooms in Marinduque. Department of Education-Marinduque is hopeful that they will be given the same assistance as to other provinces where Nina had landfall.
Classes resumed yesterday, January 3 despite the major damages Nina left.
Parents fear of their children’s safety because of the situations in various schools in different municipalities and barangays.
Government and private assistance will be very much appreciated to ensure the safety of students and for classes not to be disrupted for a long time.
