TESDA Marinduque conducts 2022 Provincial Skills Competition

BOAC, Marinduque — Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) Marinduque Provincial Office conducted the 2022 Provincial Skills Competition held at Buyabod School of Arts and Trades (BSAT) situated at Buyabod, Sta. Cruz on June 21.

Focal persons who exert collaborative efforts in implementing the event were Assistant Regional Director of TESDA Mimaropa Rosalina Reyes, Association of Technical Vocational Institution of Marinduque (ATVIM) President, Domingo Dela Cruz which is comprised of Buyabod School of Arts and Trade (BSAT) by Engr. Joey Morales, Torrijos Poblacion School of Arts (TPSAT) supervised by Rosarie Paras and Provincial Training Center-Boac spearheaded by its administrator Llena Eugenia Moreno, TESDA Marinduque Provincial Office headed by Provincial Director Zoraida Amper.

The competition covers qualifications in Bakery and Electrical Installation having BSAT, TPSAT, Marinduque Technical Training Center Institute Inc. (MTTCI), and Mogpog International Culinary School, Inc. (MICS) as participating institutions.

A showcasing of skills was also presented by trainees, trainers, and graduates of different Technical Vocational Institutions (TVIs) like Towel/Tissue folding by Aquarian Training and Review Center, Inc., Fruit Carving of Mogpog International Culinary School, Inc., and Cocktail Mixing presented by TPSAT.

In his message at the event, Provincial Administrator Vincent Michael Velasco states that this competition serves as a venue for recognizing the skills and excellence of young industry-skilled workers and even graduates through Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) implemented by technical vocational schools and training centers.

Likewise, Velasco states that the competition is a great platform for vocational graduates to show their passion to serve as inspiration to others and to demonstrate or remind them that their passion can be their profession. — Marinduquenews.com
