BOAC, Marinduque — The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH)-Marinduque District Engineering Office recently completed a multi-purpose building in Barangay Malbog, Boac town.
The 432 square meter project includes the complete construction of 12 columns and footings, tie beams, wall footings, floor beams, roof beams, roof frame and roofing, sidings, removal of existing pavement and affected houses, roof drains, flooring, painting works and electrical works.
This building not only offers a space for sports and recreational activities for the youth but also serves as a venue for significant activities, events, and programs that strengthen connections among the residents in the community.
One of its residents also conveyed appreciation for the aforementioned structure, highlighting the resilience of the community and emphasizing the fact that important events and gatherings may still take place in spite of inclement weather.
The Marinduque District Engineering Office oversaw the project’s construction through GTJ Construction with a total of P6.9 million allocated funds under the Regular Infrastructure-General Appropriations Act of 2023. — Marinduquenews.com
