Exactly six years ago today, I wrote an article in my blogs, the reasons why I participated during Marinduque International (MI Inc.) Medical Missions for the last six previous missions in the Philippines. My sentiments about volunteering is still applicable today. DOH pushes for ceramic water filter production in MIMAROPA

The Department of Health (DOH) – MIMAROPA (Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, Palawan) in partnership with the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) initiated the Ceramic Water Filter Pot Production Project in Barangay Poctoy in Torijos, Marinduque to provide households with safe drinking water. “This project will ensure access to potable drinking water in island areas of the province where the source of water has contaminants such as microorganisms which can cause the spread of water-borne diseases and high salt content due to the adjacent sea,” Regional Director Eduardo C.
