Carmencita Ongsiako-Reyes nitong Lunes ng umaga, Enero 7, dahil sa ‘stomach aneurysm’, bumuhos sa social media ang pakikiramay ng ilang kilalang personalidad kagaya nina Sen. Sonny Angara, Sen. Nancy Binay, Cong. Lord Allan Jay Velasco, Billy Andal at iba pa. Nagpaabot din ng pakikiramay ang mga Marinduqueno na lubos na nagdadalamhati sa biglaang pagkawala ni Reyes na kinikilalang ‘longest serving leader’ sa probinsya.

Marinduque political matriarch Carmencita Reyes dies

SAN PEDRO CITY, Laguna – Marinduque governor and former representative Carmencita Ongsiako Reyes passed away, her relatives confirmed. She was 87. Reyes’ son-in-law and Batangas governor Hermilando Mandanas said Reyes died Monday. In a text message, Mandanas said Reyes suffered from “an aneurysm in the stomach.” The family provided no other details regarding the governor’s prior condition.
