Boac ranks no. 70 in competitiveness index
The municipality of Boac ranked 70 among 489 municipalities nationwide under the 1st and 2nd class income category based in the cities and municipalities competitiveness index 2017. On the other hand, the municipality of Sta. Cruz ranked 153 under first and second class category. The result was released by the National Competitiveness Council.

May 500 sako ng palay, ipinagkaloob ng DA sa Marinduque
BOAC, Marinduque – Tinatayang may humigit-kumulang na limang daang sako ng palay ang dumating mula sa Department of Agriculture Regional Field Office MIMAROPA ngayong araw, Enero 19 bilang tulong sa relief operations para sa mga magsasaka sa probinsya. Ang tulong na ipinaabot ay tinanggap ng Provincial Agriculturist Office na inaasahang maipararating sa anim na Municipal Agriculturist Office ng Marinduque.
