Darell Ariola, the Bondfire Restaurant Group Employee of the Month, has always been a talented visual artist. “When I was very young I was doing art,” he says, “and I was in many contests.” That talent serves the Philippines native well. Quake epicenter, closer to Marcopper -Phivolcs

STA. CRUZ, Marinduque – Phivolcs recorded a M 3.1 earthquake in Sta. Cruz, Marinduque on August 24, at 8:22:17 a.m. that has now been upgraded to magnitude 3.2. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology also revised its coordinates for the epicenter of the earthquake which is now at 13.43°N, 122.02°E. The new coordinates show that the epicenter is much closer to the Marcopper mine site than previously thought. Marinduque, niyanig ng magnitude 2.8 na lindol

STA. CRUZ, Marinduque – Niyanig ng lindol na may lakas na magnitude 2.8 ang Marinduque kanina, Agosto 24. Naramdaman ang lindol alas 8:22 ng umaga, ayon sa Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology. Ang sentro ng lindol ay natunton 13.53°North, 122.01°East – 006 km N 15° West ng Santa Cruz, Marinduque at may lalim itong isang kilometro. Naramdaman din ang pagyanig sa hilagang-silangang bahagi ng Sta. Cruz at mga islang malapit dito. Sanhi ito ng paggalaw ng tectonic plate sa lugar. DOST helps power Marinduque health centers
