85% of school classrooms in Marinduque damaged by Typhoon Nina

Typhoon Nina damaged about 85% of schools and classrooms in Marinduque. Department of Education-Marinduque is hopeful that they will be given the same assistance as to other provinces where Nina had landfall. Classes resumed yesterday, January 3 despite the major damages Nina left. Parents fear of their children’s safety because of the situations in various schools in different municipalities and barangays.
