The Committee on Transportation of the House of Representatives has approved several bike bills, including a proposal put forward by Marinduque Representative Lord Allan Jay Velasco which seeks to establish bike-friendly communities across the country to help the commuting public deal with the “new normal” in terms of mobility.
Libu-libong sako ng bigas at tone-toneladang manok ang dumating sa bayan ng Boac kamakailan.
Marinduque Representative Lord Allan Velasco advised consumers to wait for the new electricity bill based on their actual power consumption from the Manila Electric Co. (Meralco) before settling their accounts, and disregard the previous billings based on estimates that have caused an uproar from customers.
Rep. Velasco says that as we hunker down to weather the ravages of the current pandemic and the ensuing ‘new normal’, we could only do so successfully by working together and keeping in mind that the best way forward for the energy sector lies in what is in the best interest of the consuming public and the Filipino people.
Marinduque Rep. Lord Allan Jay Velasco is now pushing for a bill that will promote biking as an alternative mode of transportation or as a primary means of travel in the time of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
