The provincial government of Marinduque under the leadership of Gov. Romulo Bacorro, Jr. through the Provincial Tourism Office lauds Mr. Lance Gokongwei of Cebu Pacific Airline company, Rep. Lord Allan Jay Velasco of the Lone District of Marinduque, the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines, the Department of Transportation and Department of Tourism as well the president of the Philippines – Rodrigo Roa Duterte for the opening of Marinduque Domestic Airport, and the start of commercial passenger operation on Monday, April 1.

Isang juvenile Oriental Honey Buzzard (Pernis ptilorhynchus) ang matagumpay na nasagip ng Marinduque Animal and Wildlife Rescue Emergency Response Team (MAWRET) sa bayan ng Mogpog nitong Huwebes, Marso 28.

Nakunan ang larawang ito ng asong-gala sa bukana ng Marinduque Provincial Hospital, ito ay kabila ng mahigpit na kampanya ng Provincial Veterinary Office na siguraduhing walang kumakalat na mga asong-gala o ‘stray dog’ sa probinsya.

The province of Marinduque has been officially declared as an insurgency-free province and with stable internal peace and security, the third province in the country to achieve the status.
