The provincial government of Marinduque hosted the 57th RDC full council meeting held on 13 December 2016 in Boac.
Mimaropa RDC Chairman and Palawan Governor Jose C. Alvarez presided the meeting which was attended by Marinduque Governor Carmencita O. Reyes, Marinduque Vice Governor Romulo A. Bacorro, Jr., Mayor Roberto Madla of Boac, Marinduque, Mayor Marissa Martinez of Sta. Cruz, Marinduque, directors and representatives of regional line agencies, local government units, private sector representatives, and state universities and colleges.
The provision of technical assistance of Palawan to the provincial government of Marinduque for the development of water supply projects was endorsed during the meeting.
The council approved the resolutions on the following: 1) supplemental guidelines for the formulation of MIMAROPA regional development plan (RDP) 2017-2022, 2) MIMAROPA RDP 2017-2022, 3) MIMAROPA regional development investment program 2017-2022, 4) FY 2018 RDC budget review guidelines, 5) 2016 regional development report preparation guidelines, 6) schedule of CY 2017 RDC meetings, 7) adoption of implementation guidelines of tourism road infrastructure projects 2018-2022 under the DOT-DPWH convergence program, 8) appreciation to the provincial government of Marinduque for hosting the 4th quarter RDC Full Council meeting.
The members were also informed on the 2016 MIMAROPA festival, peace and order situation, illegal drug use situation, project monitoring report, status of RDC endorsed projects, and regional economic situationer.
The first quarter RDC Full Council meeting for the year will be held on 03 March in the province of Palawan.
