BFP, Buenavista LGU join forces in preparation for Fire Prevention Month

BUENAVISTA, Marinduque — The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) together with the local government of Buenavista conducted activities and preparatory works for the Fire Prevention Month.

In preparation for this year’s Fire Prevention Month with theme “Sa Pag-iwas sa Sunog, Hindi ka Nag-iisa”, the Buenavista Fire Station through Senior Fire Officer Reynan C. Loto, acting municipal fire marshal initiated various activities in the different barangay of the said municipality.

These activities include fire safety inspection, distribution of troop information and instruction, water rationing from various barangays, fire truck visibility and coordination meetings with elementary and high school heads.

In order to strengthen relationships and provide services closer to the public, they also took part in the Lingkod Barangay program in addition to attending seminars and workshops for the Project Procurement Management Plan with other departments and agencies of Buenavista LGU.

Further, the Buenavista Fire Station participated in the health and wellness activity of the municipality and provided lectures and demonstrations to the students of Malbog Child Development Center entitled ‘Lakbay Aral’.

These programs were undertaken in line with the BFP’s vision and mission to guarantee a fire safe nation and the Buenavista LGU’s goal of informing its citizens with useful information. — Marinduquenews.com
