DOH turns over new ambulance to Marinduque

BOAC, Marinduque — The Department of Health (DOH), under the Health Facility Enhancement Program (HFEP) successfully conducted a turnover and acceptance ceremony of land ambulance type I to the Marinduque provincial government.

Additional land ambulance has been provided to the province under the supervision of DOH Regional Office Mimaropa-Center for Health Development. This initiative was in pursuant to HFEP’s goal to improve the health care’s accessibility and medical services in the region.

Dr. Mario S. Baquilod, regional director of the DOH-Mimaropa, and Governor Presbitero J. Velasco Jr. led the aforementioned ceremony along with other government officials and representatives from other provinces such as Palawan, Occidental Mindoro, and Oriental Mindoro.

Accordingly, Gov. Velasco stated that the new ambulance will enable the province to deliver services that are more effective and efficient, particularly when attending to medical emergencies.

The Health Facilities Enhancement Program (HFEP) was established in 2007 which focuses on constructing and upgrading health care facilities and strengthening the Philippine health system. — Marinduquenews.com
