Ayon sa Facebook, kapag ang isang social media account o page ay ‘verified’, nagdaragdag ito ng kredibilidad at pagpapatunay na hindi peke ang nasabing account.
Base naman sa website ng Awesomely Techie “Verified profiles on social media is an increasingly big deal because they add an stamp of approval and credibility to the accounts of notable people and organization”.
“To have the blue or gray check is a perk, no matter what social network it is, and some of the pros are more tangible than others. It is done purposefully because the more people with it, the less the value”, dagdag pa ng sumulat ng artikulo.
