Marinduque News receives video camera from Marinduquenos in USA

BOAC, Marinduque – On May 16, 2018, Romeo Mataac Jr., editor-in-chief of Marinduque News Network (MNN) personally received the video camera donated by Marinduqueno Association of the Capital Area (MACA), Inc. through Mr. Celso Mataac, Jr. who in person is a member of the board of trustees of said US based group.

Established in 1992, MACA is a non-profit organization based in Maryland, USA that provides financial assistance to support educational, healthcare and other improvement initiatives to deserving disadvantage citizens of the province of Marinduque.

MNN an active news outlet in the province and serves as an eyes, ears and voice of Marinduquenos, aims to produce a professional video camera to deliver newsworthy information and upgrade its news coverage to be able to promote the rich culture, tradition and tourism of the island province.

“I’m extending my sincerest appreciation to the beautiful and generous people of Marinduqueno Association of the Capital Area, Inc. especially to its president Myra Sabalbaro-Romano for the donation they had given to Marinduque News. Through this high technology and professional gadget, we will be able to produce high quality videos that will showcase the latest news and worthy information related to our dear province”, said Romeo Mataac, Jr.

The donation includes Panasonic Lumix G7 Mirrorless Camera with 14-42mm Lens, Rode Microphones VideoMic Go Lightweight On-Camera Microphone, Photo & Video Backpack, SanDisk Extreme Pro 32GB SD Card, Wasabi DMW-BLC12 Battery and Focus Spider Tripod.
