MSC conducts Women Legislators’ Forum and Seminar on professionalism

BOAC, Marinduque – Through the initiative of Marinduque State College’s (MSC) Gender and Development Unit headed by Focal Point Person Maria Victoria Miciano and Assistant Focal Point Person Irma Reyes, the first ever Women Legislator’s Forum and Seminar on Professionalism was conducted at the MSC Audio Visual Room on Tuesday, March 13, 2018. The event was graced by MSC President Dr. Merian Catajay- Mani and Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Verna Liza Capiña.

This was part of MSC-Gender and Development program in celebration of the National Women’s Month. The event which has for its theme: “Journey to Excellent Public Service and Ethical Leadership” was attended by faculty, staff, and non-teaching personnel of MSC and some barangay officials from the Municipality of Boac.

Invited guests and speakers included First District Sangguniang Panlalawigan Member Theresa Caballes, Civil Service Commission (CSC) Provincial Director Nancy Asilo, Torrijos Sangguniang Bayan Member Merlie Lim, Sangguniang Panlalawigan Secretary Nimfa Cabrera, Eden Palacios of PENRO-DENR, BOT Member representing Private Sector Carmelita Reyes and Retired Central Bank Executive Fredesvinda Omac.

Participants were challenged to be excellent public servants with high ethical standards of professionalism and actively play their vital role in nation building. Marinduquenews.com
