MSC-GAD supports CFC’s Pamilyang Makadiyos para sa Pagbabalik Program

GASAN, Marinduque – In connection with the National Celebration of Women’s Month and as part of the “Be Kind Campaign”, Marinduque State College-Gender and Development Office (MSC-GADO) headed by GAD Focal Point Person Maria Victoria M. Miciano with the strong support of MSC President Dr. Merian P. Catajay-Mani officially took over the responsibility for thirty (30) surrenderees for Christ trained by Couples for Christ (CFC) in a program launched by the Diocese of Boac under the Christian Life Program (CLP) in partnership with the Department of Health (DOH).

The event took place at the Parish of Saint Joseph, Gasan, Marinduque on Friday, March 2, 2018.

As planned, MSC will provide livelihood training for the beneficiaries such as sewing, cooking, T-shirt printing and automotive mechanics. Employment at MSC awaits the beneficiaries of the said livelihood training.

Present during the activity were MSC President Dr. Merian P. Catajay-Mani, Diocese of Boac Bishop Marcelino Antonio Maralit, CFC’s Provincial Head Jun Oabel, MSC Vice President for Academic Affairs (VPAA) Dr. Verna Liza L. Capiña, GAD Focal Point Person Maria Victoria M. Miciano, Assistant GAD Focal Point Person Erma E. Reyes, school GAD coordinators, guidance counselors and non-teaching personnel of MSC.

Capping the event with her words of inspiration and encouragement, Dr. Mani challenged the participants and said, “You didn’t need us but we need you. Do not depend your success on someone else but in your own decision.”
