PRC conducts first aid, life support training for TESDA scholars in Marinduque

BOAC, Marinduque – Philippine Red Cross (PRC) 143 Marinduque conducts basic first aid and life support training during the Organic Agriculture Production NCII Batch 5 Induction at the AGREA Farm School in Barangay Cawit, Boac, Marinduque.

PRC 143 Marinduque Provincial Coordinator Marisan Mañanita presided the training and was attended by the scholars of the Training-for-Work Scholarship Program (TWSP) of the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA)-Marinduque.

“Organic Agriculture Production NCII is both a classroom-based and practical hands-on type of technical-vocational training,” said Rafael Seño, Training Director at the AGREA Farm School.

“More than the technical-vocational skills development that we provide to our students, we are also driving towards training safety and security,” he added.

The scholars were given training on different basic life support technologies and first aid. They also received orientation on the PRC’s long history of local and national disaster mitigation activities and an introduction to accident insurance.

Also present during the induction activity were Erwin Buñag, Scholarships Focal of TESDA Marinduque and Jojo Alvares, a representative of the Office of Congressman Lord Allan Jay Velasco.

75 TESDA scholarships vouchers assigned to the AGREA Farm School and who are all taking Organic Agriculture Production NCII, are through the efforts of the Office of the Congressman. Marinduquenews.com
