Dapat lamang umano na isang tunay na kaalyado ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte ang susunod na magiging Speaker ng House of Representatives, saad ng isa sa mga contender ng naturang posisyon.
“What Malacanang needs is a true all in the House of Representatives that will help carry its agenda until the end,” saad ni Marinduque Rep. Lord Allan Jay Velasco.
“We’ve had enough bickering in Congress,” pahayag ni Velasco.
Aniya ang susunod na Speaker, “must take the lead in supporting the legislative agenda of President Rodrigo Duterte in the next three years to ensure the success of the administration’s programs for the Filipino people.”
