BOAC, Marinduque — Eighteen year old Simone Nadine Bornilla who hails from the town of Mogpog will carry the Marinduque sash in the upcoming Miss Universe Philippines pageant.
After the announcement of the top 100 delegates on Monday, Nadine took to social media her pride and excitement to represent the province and thanked her supporters at this early part of the competition.
“Though it may seem like such a long shot, I’ll do my best to give pride to you, Marinduque. Maraming salamat po to everyone who already congratulated not just me, but also my family,” she said.
She is in need of full support as this year’s competition will comprise four rounds before the coronation on September 25. The top 100 will be cut to 75 and will be narrowed down to 50 until the final 30 official contestants via challenges that would partially use public voting.
“Hoping and praying for everyone’s support. I’ll make sure I won’t disappoint,” she added.
Nadine is no longer new to pageantry as she has already competed in Miss Philippine Youth 2018 where she eventually won the title and proceeded to be Miss Teen International Philippines 2018.
Later, she competed in the Miss Teen International in New Delhi, India and won the continental title of Miss Teen International – Asia & Oceania. — Marinduquenews.com
