Nagsagawa ng isang Stakeholders Forum on Protecting Filipino Heritage ang National Museum at Municipality of Boac nitong Mayo 5, 2017 sa pakikiisa ng Municipal Council for Local History, Culture and Arts sa gusali ng Casa Real. Dinaluhan ito ng mga opisyal ng lokal na pamahalaan at mga nagmamay-ari ng ancestral house sa bayan ng Boac. Nais kasi ng National Museum na himukin sila na ipabilang na important cultural properties at national cultural treasures ang mga ito upang matulungan sila sa pagpapanatili sa pamumuno ng National Commission for Culture and the Arts.
