President Rodrigo Duterte has done much for the province of Marinduque, but this development reported by Congressman Lord Allan Jay Velasco on Facebook takes the cake.
According to Velasco, the long-delayed construction of the local airport will finally start sometime this year following the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) allocation of Php15 million for the project.

“Hindi kaila sa atin na ang hirap ng pagbiyahe patungo sa Marinduque ay napakalaking hadlang sa pag-unlad ng turismo at negosyo ng lalawigan,” Velasco said, citing the importance of the airport.
“Sa ngalan ng ating mga minamahal na mga Marinduqueno, taos-puso nating pinasasalamatan ang Administrasyong Duterte sa suportang ibinibigay sa ating mga proyekto na magsusulong ng tunay na pagbabago sa ating lalawigan,” he further said.
