MSC STEM students bags gold at the 26th National Physics Fair in Davao

BOAC, Marinduque – John Reginald M. Miciano and Joshua Deiondre T. Malalad, both Grade 11 STEM (Science, Engineering, Technology and Mathematics) student from Marinduque State College (MSC) Laboratory High School bagged the 1st Merit Award in the recently concluded 26th National Physics Fair held at Ateneo de Davao University in Davao City.

In this four days event (April 4-7, 2018), the 26th National Physics Fair was in connection with the 40th Annual National Physics Seminar-Workshop/Convention and 31st National Physics Olympics with the theme “Physics and Development of Indigenous Communities.”

Miciano and Malalad with their research advisers Mrs. Maria Victoria M. Miciano and Mrs. Marilou M. Jimena took the challenge as they represented the college with their research project entitled “Capayang and Calancan Mine Soil as a Potential Source of Energy”.
