SANTA CRUZ, Marinduque – Project 81, a non-profit organization based in the Province of Marinduque that focuses in the improvement of the quality of life of the Filipino people especially the poor, distributed about 200 food packs to the residents of Maniwaya and Mongpong Island.
The organization was guided by its Five Service Components namely Health, Education, Environment, Livelihood & Sports and Culture & the Arts. Said components help the organization to contribute in the formation of moral values to the youth and advancement of public well-being to the marginalized sectors.
Project 81 was composed of Michael Jaye Ribleza, Maiko Jay Nardo, Reynald Salvacion and some volunteers Joshua Jornadal (MSC YES President), Pamela Flora (MSC JPIA President), Irish Villalon, Lheslie Ann Palma, Jeaurjet Loberes (MSC Faculty), Kenneth Reginio and Pauline Constantino.
The volunteer group also distributed food packs to 14 barangays of Santa Cruz checkpoint frontliners.
Meanwhile, members of the NGO are planning to hold outreach activity to three families that belong to the poorest of the poor in Barangay Aturan and 30 households in Salomague Island both in Santa Cruz.
In an interview with Marinduque News, Ribleza said that it is the least way for their organization to reach out those in needs in times of calamities specially in the midst of coronavirus 2019 pandemic.
