MSC produces new batch of civil engineers

BOAC, Marinduque — The lone state college in the province of Marinduque generates 27 new civil engineers in the April 2024 Civil Engineers Licensure Examination.

Marinduque State College (MSC) takes pride in congratulating the students that charted an overall passing rate of 31.76 percent with 27 out of 85 takers passing the examination, having 18 out of 35 first-time takers achieving positive results, resulting in a passing rate of 33.96 percent.

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) revealed that this year 6,680 out of 17,010 exam takers passed the Civil Engineers Licensure Examination (CELE) provided by the Board of Civil Engineering in 18 testing centers nationwide.

Among the newly registered civil engineers from the soon to be Marinduque State University are Jeezreel Anne Colopano, Jan Ryan De Castro, Angelyn Hernandez, Rogin Janda, Kenneth Jinao, John Angel Laylay, Bhea Lining, Mark Joseph Luto, Christopher Malapad, Robielyn Malapad, Melchor Mamitag, Dessa Marinduque, Jan Jayveine Matining, John Loid Mendeja, Ma. Kreazel Mercader, Melissa Mingi, Irish Mae Moredo, Jana Mae Nepomuceno, Jimuel Pimentel, Mark Christian Pimentel, Irish Joy Regencia, Chit-Abelle Sol Regio, Dana Marie Revilloza, Erika Rioflorido, Earl Joseff Pelaez, Albert Watiwat and Ellaine Zulueta.

Earl Joseff Pelaez, one of the newly registered civil engineer shared his experience saying, “Noong nagsimula ako magsagot, tiningnan ko muna lahat iyong mga problems and while answering it, napansin ko na almost all of the problems are new problems kumpara sa mga past board exams. At first ‘di ko masagutan kasi medyo nalilito ako kung anong formula ang gagamitin. Also in this matter, you have to think twice before mag-shade kasi lahat ng nasa choices ay possible answer. Pero maayos ko naman nasagutan halos lahat ng problems and parang 60 porsiyento rin ang sure kong sagot. And after ng exam, I can feel na maipapasa ko na ito this time. Thank you Lord!”

[When I started answering the examination, I analyzed all of the problems, and while answering, I noticed that it’s a new set of questions. At first, I couldn’t answer it because it made me confused about which formula I should use. Also in this matter, you have to think twice before shading because all of the choices can be possible answers. That being said, I am certain that I answered 60 percent of the questions. After the exam, I was confident that I would pass this time. Thank you, Lord!]

With this accomplishment, MSC students have reached yet another benchmark and proven that the College of Engineering is, in fact, the school’s center of excellence. — Marinduquenews.com
