MSC JHS conducts turnover ceremony, obtains distance learning equipment

BOAC, Marinduque — Marinduque State College (MSC) Junior High School (JHS) Program receives 5 printers for distance learning from the Parents-Teachers Association during the Turnover Ceremony held today, March 15 at the MSC Audio-Visual Room.

JHS Parent Representatives present, Jonathan Lingon and Roberto Malvar, led by Fatima Villanueva, turn over the equipment to Teresita Tubongbanua, Dean of Basic Education and Principal of the Senior Highschool Program, and Noel Palomares, Principal of the Junior Highschool Program.

This act of charity ignited when the faculty of the Basic Education Program, through the initiative of Tubongbanua and Palomares, conducted a meeting with the parents of JHS students last February to discuss the second semester of Academic Year 2020-2021.

According to the parents, their main concern was the duration of the production of modules. The JHS Principal then stated that this was because of the lack of proper equipment, thus the birth of this project.

Moreover, JHS students have mixed emotions regarding said scheme. One pupil voiced out that they were displeased because the donation was unnecessary due to their annual payment of a development fee, so they were expecting that it would be used to provide for their needs. However, they are still thankful and wish that the equipment is used to fulfil their requests of printed modules. — Marinduquenews.com
