The country’s only classical musical festival is happening in the heart-shaped island of Marinduque this week. Held for three nights (May 18-19 and 21), groundbreaking performances from international artists and the orchestra of local talents await. Priced at only Php 200.00/concert (students even get 50% off), the performances are for the benefit of Musika sa Isla, an organization dedicated in teaching the farmers and fisherfolk of Marinduque the art, appreciation, and opportunities under the wing of classical music.

a) International Concert at St. Raphael Church, Cawit, Boac on May 18, 2016 6:30PM.
b) The Grand Gala at the Marinduque National High School Covered Court on May 19, 2016 at 6:30PM.
c) Pop Music Goes Classical at the Moriones Arena on May 21, 2016 at 6:30PM.
Musika sa Isla spearheaded by Joseleo C. Logdat, is a private group that aims to promote music to the grassroots; hone the musical talents of the youth, exposed them to classical music and international performances, make a symphony orchestra in each municipality to be merged into one big orchestra and make the province the center for musical arts excellence.
Come, see and hear newly trained young children playing the violin, viola and cello and appreciate the voices of Musika sa Isla Chorale together with professional singers and international artists and performers.
