BOAC, Marinduque — Residents of Marinduque no longer need to travel outside the province to secure essential civil registry documents as the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) officially opened its Civil Registry System (CRS) outlet in Barangay Tampus, Boac on July 16.
The new facility, located beside the former PSA office, is expected to bring significant convenience and savings to the public, who previously had to go to Lucena or Metro Manila just to acquire documents such as birth, marriage, and death certificates.
The Boac CRS outlet also offers Certificates of No Marriage (Cenomar) and No Death (Cenodeath), with processing fees ranging from ₱130 to ₱210, depending on the document type and delivery format.
PSA Mimropa Regional Director Leni R. Rioflorido, in her message during the inauguration, underscored the significance of decentralizing government services in line with the directive of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.
“Hindi niyo na kailangan pang bumiyahe sa Lucena o sa Manila para kumuha ng birth, marriage at death certificate, gayundin ang CENOMAR dahil mayroon na ang mga ito sa ating probinsya kaya makakatipid na kayo sa pamasahe at pagod sa pagbiyahe dahil ito ang gusto ng ating pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr., na mapagaan ang pamumuhay ng bawat Pilipino,” Rioflorido said.
Rioflorido, who is set to retire next year, called the opening of the outlet a personal and professional milestone.
“I’m truly grateful to see the fifth CRS outlet in the Mimaropa region come to life before my retirement. This is my legacy— bringing this service to my home province,” she added.
Provincial and regional officials, including Marinduque Vice Governor Romulo Bacorro Jr., PSA Marinduque Chief Statistical Specialist Gemma N. Opis, and PSA representatives from various parts of the Mimaropa region attended the launch.
With the new CRS outlet now operational, the PSA aims to serve Marinduqueños more efficiently, reduce bureaucratic delays, and ensure easier access to government services at the local level. — Marinduquenews.com
