MOGPOG, Marinduque — Barangay Peace and Order Committee as well as Barangay Anti-Drug Abuse Councils of Sumangga, Mogpog held a one-day planning workshop for the performance year 2022-2024 in order to update its strategies by aligning its plan with current and future peace and order challenges.
The Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) provided technical assistance through Ariel Reginio, Municipal Local Government Operations Officer of Mogpog and Lyza Marie Mabato, Local Government Operations Officer together with Mogpog Municipal Police Station (MPS) through Deputy Chief of Police Lieutenant Edward Leano.
During the activity, the capacity gaps and competency requirements for the planning period were also discussed in order to align the barangay’s strategies with the implementation of full devolution by 2022.
The planning activity’s outputs are revisited and evaluated, including the barangay’s 2019-2021 Peace and Order and Public Safety Plan and a draft 2022-2024 plan for finalization and adoption by the Barangay Peace and Order Committee (BPOC) and Barangay Anti-Drug Abuse Council (BADAC). — Marinduquenews.com
