The Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) is setting aside P176 million to for seaport development in Bohol, Marinduque, and Surigao del Norte.
Nearly P59 million will be spent to build a passenger terminal building at the Port of Tagbilaran in Bohol, while P73.5 million will be used to construction a wharf, a roll-on roll-off (Roro) ramp, and a back-up area at the Port of Balanacan in Mogpog, Marinduque, the port regulator said in an invitation to bid.
PPA said investors have until April 14 to bid for the Marinduque and Surigao projects until April 14 to submit their bids, and those interested in the Bohol development until April 15.
To build a back-up area, a Roro ramp, a site development and cargo shed at the Port of Dapa in Surigao Island, Surigao del Norte, the PPA is spending P43.4 million. –Courtesy from VS, GMA News
