BOAC, Marinduque – Malfunctioning vote counting machines (VCMs) were reported in elementary schools in Poras, Mahinhin and Tambunan in this town, and Torrijos Central School in Torrijos town early morning as residents cast their votes in Marinduque.
Capt. Aldrin Mutya, chief of Provincial Election Monitoring Center (PEMAC) of Marinduque police, the VCMs that malfunctioned in Poras, Boac and in Torrijos Central School were now replaced with the contingency VCMs and casting of votes at the two polling centers are back to normal as of 11am Monday.
Meanwhile, Mutya said that the VCM of Tambunan Elementary School is sent downtown from the mountainous village to be replaced.
VCMs of two polling centers, including Mahinhin elementary school, in Boac are still waiting for replacement.
