BOAC, Marinduque — The Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) Museum will host the 5th General Assembly and Summit on Local Studies of the Association of Studies Centers (Kabansa) on October 24, carrying the theme “Local Heritage and Museums: Case Studies on Sustainability and Protection.”
The event aims to provide a venue for researchers, scholars, and heritage advocates to discuss and share insights on the preservation and sustainability of local heritage and museums. It will also highlight how partnerships among local studies centers help enrich community-based history programs and projects.
In celebration of Museums and Galleries Month, Kabansa invites researchers, students, and stakeholders to participate in this one-day gathering. The event is free of charge, inclusive of meals. Participants are encouraged to promote their respective studies centers through booth displays, printed collaterals, publications, and book selling. Each center is also invited to bring its official Studies Center Flag (3ft x 5ft) for display alongside others.
Kabansa is allotting a maximum of three participants per studies center. Interested individuals may contact Ryan Palad of the GSIS Museum, Atagan, and Kabansa through museum@gsis.gov.ph, or reach Joan Caldea at (02) 8479-3600 local 3414, and Kristal Cabrera at 0919-547-0924 for further details. — Marinduquenews.com
