BOAC, Marinduque – Preserving crime scenes will help authorities cut down rising unresolved cases, according to the Philippine National Police.
This is the primary goal of the Crime Scene Awareness Seminar held at the Boac Covered Court by the Marinduque Police Provincial Office (MPPO).
The Chief of Operations Management Division of the Philippine National Police Crime Laboratory in Camp Crame, Police Senior Superintendent Elimer Catabay was invited to speak before 300 barangay officials about the importance of keeping pieces of evidence untouched.
The more untampered the evidence is, the more chances of determining the masterminds and their co-horts behind crimes.
MPPO Provincial Director Lorenzo Holanday Jr., together with PINSP Carmelo S. Aliñio, Chief Police Community Relations Branch (PCRB) conducted this one-day seminar in cooperation with the Liga ng mga Barangay-Marinduque Chapter headed by its president, Allan H. Nepomuceno.
