BUENAVISTA, Marinduque — In its ongoing effort to promote early access to the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys), the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Marinduque Provincial Statistical Office (PSO) recently launched its “rehistro bulilit” campaign in the municipality of Buenavista.
This project successfully registered 54 individuals, including 49 children ages one to four years old to the National ID system.
The campaign aims to make the National ID accessible to the youngest members of the community, a press release from PSA Marinduque said.
During the event, PSA Marinduque Information Officer I Danica J. Gamara explained the significance and future benefits of the National ID and how the PhilSys ID could facilitate their children’s access to social services, education, and financial opportunities.
“The rehistro bulilit campaign is part of the PSA’s broader vision of advancing data and statistics through digital transformation, aligning to make essential identification accessible to all Filipino children from all walks of life,” Gamara said.
PSA Marinduque provided storytelling sessions and activities such as coloring and drawing to develop and enhance the creativity of the children.
“As PSA Marinduque continues to promote National ID registration for children across municipalities, it reinforces its dedication to a digitally empowered community ensuring parents that every child in the community is entitled to his/her own national identity,” Gamara added, stressing that the campaign will also be brought in other towns.
Through continuous outreach activities, PSA Marinduque is building a strong foundation for the next generation, thus fostering an environment where every child can benefit from the support of a national identification system. — Marinduquenews.com
