TORRIJOS, Marinduque — The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) finished the construction of a multi-purpose building at Torrijos Fire Station offering improved amenities and a comfortable working environment for firefighters in the municipality.
According to District Engineer Richard Emmannuel P. Ragragio, the said project is a two-storey building with 110-square-meter structure. The building has amenities for guests as well as storage and record-keeping areas.
This multi-purpose building also serves as an additional area for Torrijos Fire Station personnel, particularly female firefighters, as it has female firefighter quarters for their usage.
By constructing this building, the fire station will be better prepared to deal with a variety of crises, safeguarding the safety and well-being of the municipality’s citizens.
The project was built by the Marinduque District Engineering Office with an allotted fund of P5,335,039.99 in accordance with the Regular Infrastructure-General Appropriations Act of 2023. — Marinduquenews.com
