The National Food Authority Provincial Office of Marinduque promoted the Palay Procurement Program and Food Guardian Advocacy Campaign by distributing flyers and signing-up as food guardians. This happened during the launching of Farmers and Fisherfolks Month in the municipality of Boac on May 2, 2017. The event was actively participated by Asst. Regional Director and concurrent Officer-in-Charge Gondelina U. Alda and other offices from Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR), Philippine Coconut Authority (PCA), Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR), Philippine National Police (PNP), MNO and PAO.

The Commission on Audit (COA) has flagged the provincial government of Marinduque for failing to utilize the Php 33,314,993.03 budget provided for the provision of health services and supplies, assistance to typhoon victims and road projects.
